Quick post with last night’s outfit! New dress so why not. 😀 This one was a lucky find from the remnants of the New Look January sales that I literally bought yesterday afternoon and wore last night. Was marked down to £11 on the label but must have been marked down again as it went through at £7, which I’m obviously not complaining about! I haven’t been shopping or bought anything in quite a while so it was nice to have a browse after work in the morning. Work was actually such a laugh this time; one particularly sassy 4 year old kept cracking us up and the whole class seemed to be in a cute mood. Always a good thing when there are about 30 of them to try to arrange into a straight line!
A group of us went to watch a panto performance that one of my best friends and a couple of other people we knew were in last night, and went out for dinner beforehand and out again afterwards too. Made a full night out of it. 🙂 The panto thing is so much funnier when you know the players, and safe to say a few in jokes had us literally (and I do mean literally) cackling and crying in the audience. It’s one of those things that when you try to describe afterwards, doesn’t seem funny in the slightest, but at the time I was near enough wetting myself!
dress and bag: New Look | jacket: Topshop | boots: Preston market | belt: Primark
One outdoor #OOTD shot before we gave up! The wind was seriously thwarting any attempts to have either half decent hair or a skirt that didn’t blow up every 2 seconds, so an impossible task not worth bothering with. #bloggerproblems. Still really like the dress though! I probably wouldn’t wear a cutesy floral piece without something from the other end of the spectrum to balance it out (aka boots and black), but I think I pitched it about right for a Saturday night. Short clompy boots and tights for during the day and I’ll be fine, hopefully into spring too. Not bad for a rifling through the last of the messy sale racks find!
Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend so far! It feels weird to be posting on a Sunday morning, Sunday nights are like ritual bloggy time with #lbloggers chat and everything, especially in winter. I’m yet to establish a proper routine anyway though so I guess it doesn’t matter! After being out for most of yesterday I’ve quite the to-do list to tackle today, trying to get a little bit ahead and next week’s gonna be a busy one too. Wish me luck!

1st February 2015 at 12:43 pmLove that dress! I think that sometimes you can find some great bargains in the New Look sales! A few years ago I was able to pick up an AX Paris dress for £5! It had been reduced from £30! I think you styled it quite well, and I love the boots you are wearing with it!

1st February 2015 at 6:07 pmI love your dress a lot! You really got lucky with the bargain 😉 Also, thank you for being honest about the affiliate links! I hate those bloggers who seem to desperately need money and pile up a dozen of “buy a similar item here” link without mentionning they get some pennies from it… I mean, this is great to be able to get some money by posting what you love and all, but by hiding that, I feel like those persons are making money off us innocent readers. I have no idea if that is something commonplace amongst UK blogging community but in France a lot of fashion or beauty bloggers are “ommiting” mentionning affiliations. Not cool.
Then again, thanks for your honesty! 🙂 Hope you managed through your to-do list! xx

1st February 2015 at 6:15 pmThank you! I thought it best to be open and honest, I’ve no desire to hide it if I do make a penny or two! I think it’s really obvious anyway when bloggers include a list of ‘items you could buy’ or whatever anyway so didn’t see the point. I’m glad the honesty is appreciated! 😀
