Let’s pretend it’s an appropriate time to get excited about Spring and WARMTH already and ignore the fact that it snowed for 10 minutes yesterday and we’ll probably be trapped in a blizzard by Easter. In theory, it’s time to start thinking Spring thoughts. And spring fashion. Pinterest gets you thinking ahead like that. Apologies that some of these are OTT summery, but I tried to choose things with spring ‘vibes’, not involving ‘florals for spring’. Without further ado!
Anklets. Why not live life on the edge and flash a bit of ankle, ooo. Love the combination of dainty anklets with casual shoes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anklet worn in Winter. They’re just one of those ‘Summer things’. Might crack mine out to wear with jeans so I can pretend it’s Spring in March when it’s 100% not.

White dresses. I am dying to crack out my handmade one again – it’s probably one of my favourite items I’ve made/own! White dresses just have that fresh spring-y feel, even if worn with over knee socks and leather jackets.

Denim jackets. I bought one for an absolute steal in TK Maxx last year and promptly forgot what I ever did without it. Even if layered over jumpers, they still have completely different vibes to leather jackets or other coats. very much a transitional piece if I’m gonna get all ‘fashion blogger-y’ about it!

Blue and white stripy shirts. Maybe it’s their nautical vibes, I don’t know. Something about them just feels nice and fresh and not at all wintery, but don’t require ditching the jeans just yet. Really want that M&S bardot style top!

Crochet. Obviously, OBVIOUSLY, I’m gonna big up this one. Can’t wait to have the time to whip up a couple of little crochet projects of my own already. Spring/Summer is time swap the chunky cable knit cardigans for lacy crochet ones in much more ‘flowy’ styles. So boho.

These blue skies really have conned me haven’t they? Time to get back to reality after that little detour into ‘what I would wear if I lived in California’. What are you looking forward to this Spring/Summer?

25th February 2016 at 11:19 amI’ve got to tell you that if you ever came up with a pattern for that crochet Chanel style jacket I’d be all over it like a rash!
Wish spring would hurry, but I’ll take these crisp sunny days we’re having at the moment over rain any day!

26th February 2016 at 6:09 pmI’d LOVE to make one! In a couple of months I can make whatever crafty projects I like without having to fit a textiles theme – woooo!
I’m loving how bright and crisp it is too! So much nicer than grim rainy days but I’m sure we have a few of those coming too!

25th February 2016 at 12:37 pmLove this post! Personally, my favourite spring fashions have always been nautical pieces, I can’t get enough of blue and white stripes with pops of red!
The blue halter neck crochet top is absolutely stunning, do you think you’d ever do a post about how to crochet? I’ve always wanted to try it but I have no idea where to start.

27th February 2016 at 8:23 amThe handmade dress is very beautiful. Did you do it for school or just yourself? 🙂
Also, you got me thinking do I need an ankle bracelet for summer. They look so cute! :O
And maybe this will be the year were I buy a denim jacket? Yeah, I don’t have one. 😀 For a long time they reminded me too much of 90ties and my mum’s HUGE denim jacket that could have been my dad’s. 😀

27th February 2016 at 6:29 pmThank you Madara! I made it just for myself – can’t wait to have more time for projects like this again once exams are over. A huge vintage denim jacket sounds great! I wear my mum’s old leather oversize one all the time 😀
