Casual party outfit, bought yesterday morning and worn last night! We’d organised a surprise party for my friend Georgie’s birthday and had such a good night. Even hiding ourselves in cardboard boxes and jumping out went well, well done us for pulling that one off! The look on her face on walking through the door and having us lot burst out made the half hour hiding in boxes worth it haha. There isn’t much room in a cardboard box let me tell you! The rest of the night was basically food + drink + friends + being idiots all on repeat, best Monday night in ages. Interesting photos to look through this morning too. ๐ Some may make it to Instagram, some definitely won’t! Georgie loved her night and so did we all, success!
top and skort: Primark | bracelet: c/o Michael Kors | earrings: Topshop
First skort I’ve owned since PE kit, and the first time I’ve actually found one that fits too! None of the usual gaping waist/ won’t go over the backside problem for once. I didn’t think I’d ever find myself in a size 8 pair of shorts (let alone a Primark pair) but I’m guessing these were made on the generous side haha. I’ve been eyeing up these bardot neckline tops for a while now too; they make simple long sleeved tshirts look just that bit nicer and are sooo flattering. Just right for a super casual party with friends, not dressy but not too plain, just nice. I reckon I’ll end up wearing this top loads. The stripes aren’t so thin that they make my eyes go funny (tell me it isn’t just me?) either, always good!
I’m fairly sure I thought this lipstick was red when I put it on, but the camera disagrees evidently. It’s the Primark Matte long lasting red once again, with a Topshop red gloss on top because I was feeling that bit extra fancy. My bun came down after about an hour thanks to the headache I could feel it giving me too. Those few hairgrips can be so painful! #firstworldproblems
Bedroom outfit shots are probably gonna feature quite often, might as well make the most of white walls! Note the colour organised clothes rails in the background too – so clichรยฉ but I like it. ๐
Have you ever been to a surprise party, or had one organised for you? My friends are so good at this kind of thing!

17th February 2015 at 6:51 pmGorgeous outfit and photos! I’ve recently been loving wearing skorts as an alternative to short skirts which can easily reveal a little too much from windy conditions or vigorous dancing haha! Also adore the neckline of the top – it’s so flattering and feminine. Lovely post x
