Another mama-made top to share today – she’s churning them out at quite a pace these days! This little white crop is from ‘Knitting Lingerie Style’. I believe the design is inspired by 1920s knitted swimwear (can’t think of anything worse tbh), crossed with a sports bra-style racerback. Summery knits seem like a good way to pretend it’s warm enough for going bare-armed and cropped, whilst keeping a little bit of warmth. This is England, after all.
A quick errand-running trip to town last weekend somehow turned into a sizable Primark haul. No idea how that happened of course. ;) Tons of the pieces in store at the moment seem far better quality than you’d expect for Primark, including this super stretchy denim midi. Attempting to pull this one over my head in the Primark changing rooms made for an almost-wetting-ourselves episode for me and my mum; definitely not a skirt to be getting in an out of in any rush! ‘Tis a case of ‘well-fitting skirt’ vs. ‘easy to dress yourself skirt’.  I’ve a feeling this one could be one of ‘those’ Primark buys!
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole mirrored sunglasses trend last year with the coloured ones looking a little too alien-like for my taste, but I really like this grey pair from Primark. And for £2?
3 exams down, 20 to go. Definitely feels like it should be Friday already despite being only Tuesday, but all have gone OK so far, I think. Nothing that can be done now if they haven’t. Hope everyone else doing exams is getting along well! Good luck with the other 50 million you probably have left to do!

14th May 2014 at 6:43 pmBoth you & your mum are so talented with knitting – I absolutely DO NOT have that amount of concentration! And I agree with the comment about knit swimwear – how awful! Same with when women had to wear dresses to go swimming. It seems like it would weigh you down so terribly. I’m not much of one for swimming as it is, but knit swimwear would just turn me off even more so!
Good luck on your exams! TWENTY??? How do you ever retain that much information!?

18th May 2014 at 9:37 amThank you so much Chloe! These quick projects don’t require tooo much concentration – that would be too much for my brain to cope with at the minute! I don’t even know how my brain will retain the information for my 23 exams, it’s impossible! We don’t have a high school leaving certificate equivalent over here and do a bunch of separate GCSE qualifications instead (I’m taking 11 subjects in total) so that makes for a lot of exams. -.-
I’m not a massive swimmer either but I don’t think I’d ever set foot in water if I had to wear knitted swimwear!
