NYE | an AX Paris outfit choice

Happy almost-New Year everyone!  That came around quickly didn’t it?

Anyway, just the snappiest of snappy ones from me today – I’d pretty much be a failure of a fashion blogger if I didn’t at least give a nod to NYE, so here we are with some last minute outfits.  If you’ve left it this late then well, you’re doing worse than ME even, but whatever.

Option 1:  A very simple dress, but such a flattering shape!  I kinda fancied navy rather than an obvious black or gold, and I don’t own anything else strapless so why not.  Most of the AX Paris dresses I tried fit really well around the waist too – none of that gape-y back annoying thing for once.  Feels like my knees are tied pretty tightly together to walk, but if Marilyn could manage a wiggle dress, then so can I.  I’ve worn black and gold loads of times so grabbed a silver clutch to mix it up a bit too – this Miss Selfridge one seemed just right!

Yes I did my makeup early just for the daylight. #BloggerProblems.  Urban Decay Naked2 on my eyes (betrayed my fave UDxGWEN palette!), Eyelure 116 lashes, and (for the minute) Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream on my lips because they were painfully chapped beyond belief.  Hopefully it will have worked its magic by tonight!  I’ll curl my hair too, ain’t no way straight is gonna last in this weather.

 

Option 2:  Another AX Paris one.  Their cuts fit so well!  Just couldn’t really pass it up, y’know?  These shoes are my go-to ‘going out’ pair too.

Which would you go for?  I’ve already decided that my heart’s set on no.1 for tonight, but will definitely be wearing no.2 shortly!  Gonna wiggle my way into 2016.
