This one’s probably my favourite of my ‘how I wear it now’ outfits so far! Goodness knows why 13 year old me made this with orangutan sleeves reaching way past my fingertips, but current me isn’t complaining. Manu by Kate Davies (again) is the perfect comfy cozy snuggly cardigan – even more so with XXL arms!
Pairing my fave cardi with my new fave playsuit seemed the obvious thing to do, cute combination don’t ya think? The ‘oriental floral’ design happened to go nicely with the golden yellow of my cardigan so t’was definitely meant to be. I actually tried this Warehouse playsuit on a while back but ended up buying a tea dress instead, so of course it was a nice surprise when my mum spotted the size 8 on sale at Outfit and picked it up! Playsuits are literally the most comfortable clothes ever; like a onesie but without the annoying legs and with extra flattering waist shaping :) They’re versatile too – I wore this one for an 18th birthday last weekend without the cardigan and with over the knee boots, but drizzly grey british weather got between that one and the blog. Maybe another time it’ll escape the rain!
And back in 2011 this is how I wore it! Backwards t-shirt, flat cap and all. This photo reminds me to start wearing my cord pinafore again – I think we’ll leave the flat caps with 13 year old Lily though!
P.S. The playsuit has now been even further reduced to £18! You won’t regret a look 😉

25th October 2013 at 4:18 pmThis fits you better now. And I agree that the colour goes beautifully with the playsuit underneath. The flat cap is such a hard look to pull off! Maybe you have to be younger and just wearing a hat, rather than styling it.

26th October 2013 at 9:05 pmHi Lily, thanks so much for dropping by my blog and your lovely comments! I think you have a great blog and your style is faaaabulous, I can’t believe you’re this stylish at 15. I don’t return many comments back to a blog (I don’t have the time!), but I think you are definitely worth leaving a comment for my lovely. I’m now following you on Bloglovin & Twitter, hope to speak to you again!
