Apologies for being slightly MIA this week! Nothing major happened, just been generally busy with extra days in college, trips, being out and about with people, that kind of thing. Week off now is much appreciated, even if it’ll be no less busy! This half term has flown by so quickly it’s ridiculous, which would’ve seemed like a good thing when I was at school but is just scary now. Halfway through first year of college already, whattt? AS exams are practically around the corner, wow. Still so much to learn, that’s the scary part! Stella posted earlier this week about feeling the same way, and I think quite a few teen bloggers are probably in the same boat. Not stressing or freaking out as such, just feeling like there’s a lot of pressure to be all go, go, go. Seems to be a regular topic on my blog anyway, I apologise!
Anyway, my week. I usually avoid going into college on my study days if I can at all help it, but didn’t really have a choice this week with so much textiles to do, surprise surprise. Art subjects take so much work! My final piece is actually finished now though, so modelled post coming soon hopefully. It’s very much an art piece rather than a wearable item so we’ll see how that one goes. Friday I went on an art department trip to Liverpool city centre, as our new theme is architecture and the cathedral and buildings around the area work really well. My friends and I basically ended up spending the whole day killing ourselves laughing though; was just one of those trips where everything seems hilarious and you’re all in the weirdest hysterical mood all day! Laughed til my face literally hurt. You come across some… interesting strangers with some…interesting things to say in city centres, put it that way haha. Shan’t repeat on here what some random drunk (I’m guessing) guy was shouting in the middle of the street. 😛 In full on tourist style I had my camera round my neck the whole day, but typical bloody English wind and rain sabotaged any ideas of outfit shots whilst I was at it. Looked windswept and frozen to say the least, and I really can’t pull that one off. Horrifically shockingly awful photo quality above I know, pretty much summarised the day though! I could pretend to be ever sophisticated or I could just post ridiculous group selfies with a rubbishy iPod camera from the back of the bus on a college trip. Authenticity and that. 😛
Only 2 weeks left now until our dance show too, so rehearsals have been keeping me very busy indeed! I’m in a couple of extra dances on top of the 3 for ballet, tap and modern, and help out with the younger ones too so I’ve got plenty on my plate with more rehearsals this week. It’s really fun and the kinda manic few weeks before showtime is all part of it. All coming together now and looking really good, exciting times! Since I’ve been dancing loads I haven’t done too many home workouts this week, and I’m still trying a few different places in the new house to figure out where’s best to ‘do my leaping’ as it’s become known. Turns out laminate floor doesn’t make for particularly quiet leaping, however softly I try to land on my squishy new yoga mat, but I’m working on it! Might try more boxing/kickboxing style workouts indoors instead. Let me know any of your tips!
Useless ramblings from Lily as always, there you go 🙂 Tell me yours!

15th February 2015 at 3:43 pmSounds like a really fun time, although it’s crazy busy! I think the biggest piece of advice anyone can give when it comes to college and university is just don’t worry about it. I think the whole time I was in uni I worried if I was in the right place, doing the right things, going to get the right grades.
I would have enjoyed it so much more if I’d just trusted that I’d get to where I was supposed to and learn what I needed when it happened. 🙂

17th February 2015 at 1:40 pmVery busy indeed! I’m not overly worried about college as most things seem to be going pretty well, just making sure I don’t fall behind or leave too much revision to the last minute! Weird that first year will be over before I know it though!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂

16th February 2015 at 3:46 pmI’m sure you will do okay with your exams but the first AS ones are always daunting! Liverpool is a really beautiful city architect-wise. IT seems like you had a good day! Good luck for the exam revision 😀
