Last few shots taken before we moved house, just a super comfy outfit from last weekend! We’ve had a mega busy week as you’d expect and were without internet for a couple of days. Feels like I’ve been gone forever! I’d stupidly imagined I’d have all my stuff unpacked in a couple of hours, next joke haha. The majority of my day off college was spent lugging cardboard boxes and shifting furniture with my dad; a move wouldn’t be complete without that one wardrobe that just won’t fit through the door! Must say that using a power drill is kinda fun. 😀
jumper: River Island | leggings and boots: Primark | skirt: H&M | hat: handmade
About as comfy cosy lazy as it gets outfit wise. These boots were another of my weekend sale finds – reduced to a fiver at Primark is what we like to hear! Sometimes their flimsier dolly shoe style flats can be quite lacking in durability, but I’ve usually found the boots to be reasonably long lasting. We’ll see.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a more striking resemblance to ET, oh my days. Weirdly stretches neck + startled eyes + hat perched on top of my head (don’t know why I forgot to pull it down) = just missing a bike and a sheet. The hat’s one of my own designs from a couple of years ago, that I’ve recently started wearing quite a bit more again. Evidently I can’t put hats on my head properly which explains why I haven’t always been a fan of them on me, but I’m wearing them nonetheless. Gotta be done on bad hair days.
Selfie taking with an SLR – sans tripod and live view – isn’t easy haha! The light inside was nice so I thought I’d have a go anyway ’cause new makeup and all. I’ve raved about the Primark beauty range before and this time I’m wearing one of their nude lipsticks and a black eyeliner pencil on my waterline. I stopped lining my waterline when I started wearing contacts (kinda scared of my eyes going completely black or something) but clever me lost one of my lenses! Absolutely baffled me how I managed to blink one out without noticing, but I found it by the mirror where I take them out a few days later. Pinched it out of my eye and flicked it over my shoulder without realising maybe? I am such an idiot sometimes. Back to glasses for now until I sort another pair out anyway, boo.
But yes, lipstick! The nude isn’t quite as drying as the red but seems to have the same staying power, which is good as nude lipsticks usually seem to disappear in about 10 seconds. It’s kind of a pinkish tone which I like too. Their range isn’t massive but I’ve liked the couple that I’ve tried.
More talk of decorating my new room and all that jazz once I’ve shifted the empty boxes and finished doing it up – a few people mentioned on twitter that a room tour would be fun so I’m looking forward to making one! For now, here’s an Instagram snap of my empty space. I’m loving it here!
Hope you’re all having a great week!

6th February 2015 at 3:53 amIt is a great hat! I like the ombre effect. Did you move far? I hope you are settling in nicely. I would like to see how you arrange your room too. I like the new makeup too. The lip colour is really pretty and it does look very nude and matte.

7th February 2015 at 6:04 pmThanks Max! These yarns blend really well together. Not too far no! It’s just starting to feel more like home as we bring more of our stuff over. Still working on a pretty arrangement of everything but I’m getting there. 🙂

6th February 2015 at 12:00 pmLove your outfit again! Such outfits (oversized jumpers + miniskirt + tights + hat) have kinda been my uniform lately, it’s both so comfy and stylish! (well… at least I hope so!) The only difference is that I’m mostly wearing grey-scale shades (why I can probably nickname my wardrobe “fify shades of grey” haha!) but I still have those flashy accessories to warm it up! 🙂
Looking forward to see your room tour as well! Hope you’ll have fun decorating your brand new space 🙂

7th February 2015 at 6:14 pmPretty good uniform to have! Comfy stylish is the best. I’m wearing loads of grey and monochrome atm too, just trying to add pieces of colour here and there!
Thank you! 😀

6th February 2015 at 2:52 pmWhen I first got contacts as a teen I was terrified of touching my eyes and it took me forever to put them in and take them out. So scared that I slept in them when I shouldn’t have. A week later I was at a convention out of state and standing at a Purdue dorm bathroom mirror taking my contacts out. I got the right one out faster than I imagined I would. But that left one, it just wouldn’t budge. Why couldn’t I get this? I kept trying for well over a minute then finally stood back frustrated. There on the mirror sill was my left contact. It must have slipped off right away and I never noticed. In that moment of realization that I had been touching my eye for that minute my paranoia was immediately gone. That made things so much easier!
Eager to see what you do with your room!

7th February 2015 at 6:22 pmIt really freaked me out at first too! In my first ‘teach’ session it took me about 40 minutes to get them in and out once. Found the way that suited me best pretty quickly though. It’s so freaky when you realise you’ve been poking your actual eyeball!

6th February 2015 at 5:15 pmAbsolutely love primark and those boots look amazing! I hope you manage to have more time to rest this week! 😀 I hate moving, having to do it for university all the time was a pain! But I’m kind of excited to move into my own, own place in the future. Hope you have your new room arranged how you want!
Lauren 🙂 x

7th February 2015 at 6:25 pmCan always find something good in Primark! I hope so too, who knows though! I’ve moved 3 times in the last 5 years and haven’t really minded but wouldn’t want to do it any more often I don’t think! I’m still changing my mind about what’s going where but hopefully I’ll settle on something soon. 😀
