Slightly rushed outfit shots as the heavens decided to open as soon as we grabbed the camera! Did the best we could under a bus stop. 😛 Thankfully it’s been a little warmer this weekend but I’m still layering cardigans on top of… cardigans. How imaginative. Have to remind myself that it snows in March sometimes or I’ll get too excited for warmer weather! Outfit-wise I go for the matchy-matchy look quite often; even if it’s not the most out there or creative, one colour palette at a time usually works for me. Cohesive, shall we call it? Sounds less boring! Red lipstick is always a good idea and I’ll always be a fan, even with the most casual of outfits.
cardigan (outer): Topshop | skirt and cardigan (under): H&M | bag: New Look | shoes: c/o Clarks | socks: Primark
I need over the knee socks in every colour! If I’d worn maroon or grey as a school uniform I’d probably be scarred by the combination for life (did think the combo had that school-y vibe as I put it together) but thankfully we just wore navy everything. I can’t believe it’s only about 7 months since I wore uniform every day, it’d feel soooo weird now. Makes ‘weekend clothes’ feel more worth it now I can wear them every day! The thought of fastening a shirt and tie again every day… eugh no.
Quite liking wearing this cardigan as a top. I wasn’t too sure on how it looked over other tops, so just thought sod it and didn’t bother. Let’s not apply that philosophy to too many things in life ey?
Evidently I didn’t realise you’re supposed to button both sides of a bag. Ah well. The zip on my New Look bag from my birthday kept breaking (and then miraculously fixing itself… and then breaking again) so we exchanged it for this similar-ish one. My bag collection is slowly growing and I’m not sure what to do with them all! Bit of a difficult one to store really, so they serve as ‘decorations’ in my room for now haha.
Eyeliner is on fleeeek today!
As expected I’ve had a pretty low-key weekend, just time with friends and family. They’re all the absolute best, thank you! Night in with a glass of wine suits me atm. 😛 Also, thank you to everybody that’s commented and been so supportive on my last few posts! Cheesy as it sounds, it really does make me smile to read every single one and see how many people care. I’ve been loving twitter even more than usual lately too, involving myself with as many blogger chats as possible. It makes me laugh how we quite often deviate massively from the topic and go off on the most random of tangents. Condiments on chips really need debating, don’t you know?!

We don’t exactly live nearby (part of the problem) so I’m not sure whether we’ll remain friends but who knows. Just focusing on myself and friends atm!

26th January 2015 at 4:59 amNice colour combo, very coordinated! I so admire the eyeliner skills too. I am glad that you had a good low key weekend. It is nice to stay connected with friends and family. And I think salt and vinegar for chips is perfect.

26th January 2015 at 5:53 pmThanks Max! Mixing up the colours and patterns wasn’t really working for me yesterday so matching’s the easiest option.
I’m partial to just salt but with gravy myself! Seems to only be us in the North of England that have it but it’s the best option in any chippy!
