I’m letting you know now, the only morsel of useful information you’re going to obtain from this post is where to go buy these boots before they disappear off the shelves again. Other than that, I’m gonna go old-school blogging and have a chitchat about life lately. Hope that’s ok with you. 🙂
But yes, the boots. Oh my lord the boots of dreams. I’ve seen embroidered boots knocking around Instagram and Pinterest for a lil’ while, and it’s pretty obvious that they’re one of those ‘it’ pieces that are very AW16. And you know me, sometimes I’m a basic bitch shameless slave to trends, sometimes I couldn’t care less, and sometimes I can’t stand certain trends anyway. Embroidered boots though? Be still my beating heart <3 <3 <3
Embroidered everything is all over at the minute and I gotta say I’m a fan, but the crafty gal in me just can’t bring myself to pick up an embroidered jumper or jeans when I’m pretty handy with a needle and thread myself. Boots though? Don’t see me trying to make a pair of shoes any time soon, so I’ll hand that one over to M&S! I actually spotted these in store on Monday, posted them on my Insta-story with appropriate heart eye emojis, and my mum and dad surprised me and managed to get hold of them for my birthday the next day. Thank ya :D M&S nails it once again – fabby colour combination, embroidery all over (including the heel), and the perfect heel height to be a lil’ bit snazzier than flats but not add much unnecessary height. Oh and they’re part of the Insolia range so they’re comfy. I can validate that after quite literally wearing them around the house for two days straight.
Promise this isn’t sponsored haha… I wish it was!

Anyway, onto aforementioned life chitchat. To be honest it feels like this week’s flown by even though I’ve spent lot of it at home – sometimes I get all cabin fever-y and the must. go. out. feelings kick in every half an hour, but when I know I have 3 trips in the next month and other bits and bobs, it’s more of a must. not. get. behind. kinda feeling. I really really don’t want to be playing catchup too much! Having deadlines gives me a kick up the arse to get working faster and I don’t mind being in my own company when I have so much to do. Still making sure I don’t spend any full days just at home though.
One thing I have switched up that I’m feeling pretty motivated about is my gym routine. Well, I haven’t exactly made any dramatic changes but I’ve been doing my own thing in the gym more than my usual classes so there’s that. And me, the staunchest treadmill-hater ever, has actually been enjoying the treadmill! Enjoying in a ‘love to hate’ kind of way, that is. Obviously. I’ve liked the fact that there’s no faffing about with strapping your phone into an armband, wind blowing your hair up your nose, or roads to cross with a treadmill. I can just crank up the speed and actually run fast, it’s good! I say this like I’m the first person on Earth to discover the treadmill lol. Something very motivating about challenging yourself to beat the numbers on the screen in front of you though. Especially since I’ve made a bit of a habit of coming home from the gym and eating birthday cake straight away too… 2 birthdays this week means lots of cake but bday calories don’t count!
Oh and I’m well aware of how inappropriate for November weather this outfit is, but the jacket I took out with me looked weird and I wanted to give the boots the attention they deserve without jeans or tights in the way. Cosy jumpers are back on now. 🙂
No exciting trips to tell you about this week, but I’m off to Dublin (recommendations for a flying visit, please!), Hamburg, and Tallinn in the next 3 weeks so should have lots of cool stuff to share in no time. My life kind of alternates between go-go-go and hibernating at my desk at home lol. Wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂

13th November 2016 at 11:12 pmThese boots are so gorgeous! Haha, I wish my posts were sponsored too but if I’m raving about something, 99% of the time it’s unsponsored :p I’ve only just joined the gym and am still contemplating when I’m going to go in for my first session.. I tend to run otherwise but am hoping the treadmill will help me to build up speed and stamina cos I’m pretty unmotivated when just coasting along staring at the streets and fields and skies around me! xxx

28th November 2016 at 9:58 pmI can’t stop admiring them! Haha same here, I’m forever raving about M&S too. It’s so easily to get distracted and forget to push yourself when running outdoors isn’t it? I think it does more good for my mind than body tbh, because I run a hell of a lot faster on a treadmill. Have fun in the gym!
