For once I have no ramblings or rants to offer, so a chatty catchup it is. 🙂 As the sofa photos would suggest, outfit shots in the chucking down rain weren’t on the cards. I’m seriously impressed by anyone who soldiers on through the rain, ’cause no amount of artsy brolly work stops me looking like a drowned rat. And my sofa is famous for it’s comfiness. So… a few thoughts and happenings from my week:
Impromtu haircuts actually look good
If I’d had an exciting weekend, I’d blog about it. I haven’t had an exciting weekend. Probably the most adventurous part was my mum and I giving me a mop chop (layers and everything!) haha, so it’s been a pretty chilled one. Surprisingly for a YouTube assisted first time, it looks 10x better now. I’ll share pics shortly, as the chop occurred after seeing the too-long-too-straggly hair on these photos. I’m not destined for Rapunzel locks and I’d better just go with it, even if it was scary to see inches of hair on the floor!
I suck at being lazy
Every now and then I don’t mind a quiet weekend just chilling with friends and family at home. I fail at being a teenager though, because I usually hate feeling lazy. However, I stayed in bed ’til 8 today, shock horror! Totally counts as a lie in. My body clock never seems to switch off, which I guess is both a blessing and a curse. Early mornings are no-problemo for me, but the golden ‘8 hours per night’ never happens either. Anybody else naturally wake up early without an alarm or is it just me?
Everything is better with a tan
I’m looking slightly more tanned than usual, the super observant among you might notice!  A little more colour in the skin does seem to make a difference. No way that’s gonna happen naturally atm, but that’s no problem a little St. Moriz can’t solve. Some girls pull off the whiter shade of pale flawlessly, but I don’t think I’m one of them. No point pretending – we all know the tricks! Total #firstworldproblems I know.
Twitter is growing on me
After it suddenly dawning on me that duhh, college has wifi that doesn’t block twitter, I’ve been showing my face on the ol’ twitter feed a little more this week. Instagram was usually my go-to for aimless scrolling whilst waiting around or whatever, but I’m liking the added conversational side to tweeting, outside the scheduled blogger chats that is. Only about 4 years behind the rest of the world I know, but come say hi! The more random, the better. I ended up chatting with the Tesco Home department about rocking chairs the other day, so y’know, anything goes.
Rediscovering blogs I already follow
ForeverAmber for example – I’ve followed Amber for ages but have turned into a kinda crazy fangirl this week, reading back through loads of posts. I love her writing style and any blog that makes me laugh is one to browse the archives of! Sometimes with following so many, it’s easy to get a little lost and forgetful, but I’ve been trying to dedicate more time to reading, commenting and sharing.
Tell me a random thought from your week! 🙂

5th October 2014 at 5:25 pmTalking to Tesco homeware about rocking chairs would be the highlight of my week if it happened to me. Forget fancy new haircuts (which btw I can’t wait to see more of!) Enjoy the rest of your Sunday 🙂

5th October 2014 at 5:35 pmI wake up naturally too!
Depending on what my body is used to – say I have to get up at 7 for work, I’ll wake up at 7 on the weekend too.
My shifts change though, and because i’ve been working lates, I’ve been waking up a bit later. Would much prefer a 9-5 job just to have some consistency!

5th October 2014 at 7:58 pmForever Amber is such a pretty blog <3 My hair used to be about as long as yours before I cut 14 inches off in May. I do like it short, but I also really miss my long hair! 🙂

5th October 2014 at 8:13 pmIsn’t it just! I kept thinking I either wanted really long or properly short hair, but I think just past the boobs length (haha idk how else to explain it) works best for me!
