Oh it’s been a long week. 🙂 🙂 :) Don’t think Friday’s ever taken so long to come around! In lieu of an outfit, here’s a few snippets from my week.
— Family friends round for a long overdue catchup + Chinese takeaway + martini = just the Friday night I needed. Was nice to just sit and chat, updating each other on life, and let 4 hours pass in 10 minutes.
— I had a debate with my dad over how to explain the flames in the fireplace, because we’re like that. Finally decided we were both right, him explaining the chemistry vs me explaining the physics of it. Nerd family.
— I tried my first Box Fit class – loved it!  Definitely gonna try to make it every week. So satisfying to throw punches. Working in partners and as a group made it seem more of a laugh than most classes too. Apparently I can pack a decent punch, but I don’t know if they were just being nice on my first class!  My arms and shoulders felt that nice kind of sore afterwards though. Knackering as it is, I always feel like working out gives me more energy and wakes me up after I’ve fallen asleep on the bus. I went spinning on Monday too for the first time in months, but yet again spinning seemed to mess up my knee a bit so maybe I should just give up on that one!
— My friend Charlotte had a dressmaking crisis for her dance show, and when a pink lycra top is what a gal needs, a pink lycra top is what she gets. I whipped up a simple little halterneck wrap top for her. 🙂
— Said family friends brought flowers and they’re a nice bright splash in the dining room. Also instagrammable.
— I had loads of energy sometimes, and other times felt like an extra from The Walking Dead. Which my dad and brother have become obsessed with and now all I can hear from the living room is zombie noises.
— That annoying ‘motivated but not enough time’ feeling has been driving me mad!!!
— My textiles mannequin got naughty. Let me explain. I drafted my own pattern for a pair of knickers for my textiles final piece (lingerie theme :P) then left my mannequin looking rather promiscous with knickers fallen to the floor overnight. I didn’t have time to sort them out before rushing off.
— I had a random nosebleed in the college library, got an eyelash caught behind my contact lens (HORRIBLE feeling ugh), and burnt my wrist getting my dinner out the oven. All the good stuff.
— I’m thinking of starting an A Levels series on here – it seems daft to not talk about the thing that’s taking the majority of my time right now! Thoughts on my particular subjects, revision techniques, managing exam stress, things I wish I knew… maybe? Just thought it might be useful to anybody starting college/sixth form in coming years, but I know it’d be irrelevant to many others too so I’m undecided.
— Corinne wrote a blog post about inspiring bloggers in 2016 and included me! Made me smile very much.
— It snowed today! Not for long and it didn’t stick, but stuff fell from the sky that wasn’t rain for once so that’s a novelty.
That is all. :) I’m off to my friend’s birthday party tonight and will hopefully be getting out and about again tomorrow, both of which I’m looking forward to! Squeezing in a few hours of revision when I can too, obviously. Mocks next week so student life and that.

16th January 2016 at 6:55 pmJust before read your blogpost, saw you in Corinne’s. 🙂 Jup, I like your blog too! 🙂 Roughly I think it is because of the photos and the way you express your thoughts aka your honest personality. Oh, and of course regularity and the fact that I have no idea how manage to do all that you do. 😀 That inspires me too to get more things done! 🙂
Hope you have an awesome night!

17th January 2016 at 9:05 amCorinne’s post was so lovely! Really happy my honesty is appreciated. 😀 I’m really working on being more regular this year too, it helps me feel more organised. Of course regularity doesn’t always happen though haha. I still feel like I don’t manage to get done nearly as much as I’d like to!
Hope you have a fab weekend too 😀
