“What are the achievements you are most proud of?”
Would’ve been a fitting one to post on my actual birthday! Pretend I did yeah? I’m only (just) seventeen so haven’t decades of achievement under my belt, but don’t want to sound like I’m writing a personal statement!
Without sounding way cringey, this blog is actually something I’m most proud of, and have all you guys to thank for that! It’s not like I have mega follower counts or zillions of pageviews, but it just makes me happy to know that I’ve kept it up and still enjoy blogging as much as I did on day 1. Non-bloggers have asked me why I bother, and if I have an end goal in mind or other motivation, and I can honestly answer that I don’t. To be honest, I have no idea why I blog, other than enjoyment and satisfaction. Of course blogging has plenty fringe benefits too: the social side, working with brands, writing opportunities, etc. I’m really proud of how far my blog has grown in this little over a year.Looking back and seeing everything that I posted completely out of choice is so much more rewarding than any compulsory piece of work. Each comment makes me so happy to know that others like my blog too, so I must be doing something right! I can’t see myself stopping any time soon. 🙂
I know I just said compulsory pieces of work (aka school) isn’t as satisfying, but I can’t not mention results if we’re talking achievements today! I posted the night before results day that I was expecting my ‘teenage dramas’ of the summer to have knocked a few target grades down the drain, then the next day was literally shaking to find 11A*s on the sheet of paper in my hand. More than the actual grades themselves though, I’m happy to have gotten those grades without sacrificing a social life or blogging. Even if those GCSE grades have now landed me with equally high A-level target grades, which is pretty scary!
This one might seem pretty ironic given that I haven’t posted anything handmade in yonks, but I think I probably should include something crafty. Not that I feel my items made this year are lifetime achievements, but I’m proud of the fact that I taught myself from scratch and did many things from my head.

Not judging people is actually something I’m pretty proud of about myself! I can honestly say that whilst first impressions do count, I’m the least judgemental person ever, and am always happy to talk to anybody. Bit of an abstract ‘achievement’ but I think it means a lot!

9th November 2014 at 11:28 pmOkay, this isn’t even the first time I’ve seen your cropped top on here, but for some reason this time I felt like commenting how much I love it. If you ever publish a pattern, you’ll have at least one person buying it. 🙂
