these boots were made for…

smiling-brunette-wearing-autumn-teen-outfit

…well I don’t know if they were made for walking yet.  They’re new.  Just couldn’t resist the embarrassing title.  But yes, new boots!  To replace these ones I wore to death.  I’ve been after a pair of long black boots for a wee while, but I’m quite picky with my boots, you see.  Probably too picky and give wayyy too much thought and should go think about something more important in the world, but whatever.  I don’t like too slouchy boots, I don’t like too short boots, I didn’t want heeled boots (tall + heels + over the knee = a bit more ‘stripper’ than I was going for) and my list goes on.  I’m a fussy bugger sometimes.  Fancied myself a nice pair of Stuart Weitzmans, basically.  Preferably without the £500+ price tag for one pair of shoesies.  Girl can dream.  Dorothy Perkins have done a good job of a Lily-satisfying substitute though!

Whilst we’re talking boots, I’m in the market for (LOL) a pair of black, flat, pointy, slim-fitting, preferably metal-detailed, boots too, so if you happen across any, gimme a shout.  I’m not picky or anything.  I could ramble on forever and ever (I really could) about autumn/winter staples and ‘items I’ll wear 50 million times’ and my <3 for boots, but that would probs get even more boring so I’ll spare you.

More indoor photos today – it’s by far the easier option now it’s kinda chilly!  That said I did pretty much melt in front of the fire in my poloneck so maybe wasn’t the best idea.  Is it still Autumn?  Is it Winter yet?  Who knows.  Cue melting and freezing alternately for the next month, wahoo.  Ngl I’ve barely left the house all weekend (don’t think nipping to Spar for milk really counts, does it?) so haven’t any exciting tales to tell.  Didn’t think you’d fancy hearing all about my time-zapping history coursework, put it that way.  Give me a shout if you have any tips on keeping word counts down though!

Just a quick one from me today – just done picking up a few bits and pieces for this week in London and now I’m gonna get an early night because the clocks going back has given me jetlag.  I’ve packed my clothes, done a mental checklist of ‘stupid stuff I usually forget’ over and over, planned all my tube journeys and whatnot so should be fine.  Famous last words.  Wish me luck!

Can’t beat a good pair of boots! I have way more boots than I have feet, but they are my weakness… (actually all shoes are… 😛 )

You definitely can’t! I’ve already worn these loads – I’ve found they’re a good tall girl heels substitute!
Haha you and I have asimilar weakness then 😛 Don’t even want to think about how many pairs of shoes I own!

Haha sorry about that! I can’t imagine living in a country where it’s never cold! (although I wish I did sometimes haha)

[…] all!) I’m fairly sure black boots would go with at least half my wardrobe. I’m thinking this fluffy blue miniskirt and chunky heels could work well in a ‘mod’ kinda way – might embrace the whole […]
