Jeans: Dorothy Perkins
Jumper: Primark
Shoes: Office

Lens-cap in my bum pocket haha!  Not the most exciting of outfits, but I literally (and I do mean literally) threw together in 10 seconds to tag along with my mum’s photoshoot this morning.  Although these jeans just look kinda pixellated here, they’re actually a subtle snakeskin print so I don’t just have a grainy backside I promise ;)  Haslam Park is such a stunning location whatever the time of year, even more so with autumnal leaves floating here there and everywhere.  Matches my outfit perfectly too, what are the chances!

big-cardigan-haslam-parkThe big cardigan‘ makes an appearance once again 😀

burgundy-shoes-snakeskin-jeansSo I’m supposedly an ‘assistant’ on these shoots, but they seemed to be capturing some pretty nice shots without too much intervention from me so I chose the role of ‘behind the scenes’ photographer this time instead.  AKA take piccies of shoes!

lime-avenue

gates-haslam-parkAs well as snapping away at shoes, I took a few shots of the charming little details in Haslam park; the descriptive writing task for my GCSE English Language is based on ‘a park’ so I thought these might help spur a few ideas.  Over the last year or so – due to the subjects I’m doing – my writing skills have developed more towards brevity in conveying information rather than flowery language, so whilst it’s taking some getting used to, I’m enjoying having the chance to use as many fancy words as possible just for the sake of it!  What is your favourite way to write?  Anybody have any tips for descriptive writing?

tapestry-scarfLife has finally started to calm down a little for next week.  Now that birthdays and exchanges and awards evenings and more birthdays are over, it’s time for a few days off before the rush of mock exams and Christmas begins!

oh, I love the leaves falling in flight! How about that for your GCSE? “Leaves Captured in Flight.”

I have spent the last 13 years writing very technically. During my graduate courses, I had to take a class on grant writing and my instructor said it was some of the best grant proposals she’d ever seen. But I could tell that grants pained her and it seemed more a backhanded compliment because, truly, what could be more boring than grant proposals??

Beautiful autumnal photos, looks like you all had a great day together. I always dread photoshoots outside because I’m not very good in the cold, but it is nice to see the ladies have still got a smile on their face! Thanks for the comment on my blog! shooting a video is the same amount of time as taking photos, but it is the editing that takes up all the time! xxx
