Hello there full fringe! I asked my mum for a little trim on Friday (after her denying my request for a full fringe), but armed with only YouTube and a pair of scissors, we didn’t really know what to do after chopping an inch off so this was how it ended up! Luckily, I’m really like it choppy and wispy and I think it looks a lot better than I expected on my bizarre hairline! Yay for impromptu decisions and haircuts on the living room floor 😀
I’ve really liked Kim Hargreaves‘ fitted designs (10 year old me was fascinated by the quirky styling of her collections!), so I was pretty happy when my mum offered to make this Beatrix cardigan for me. The long slogs of moss stitch are appreciated, I promise :D I know peplums get slated but I find them to be really flattering, so for the minute they’re still a part of my wardrobe for sure. In a way this one’s quite equestrian, so I’m staying true to my horse-obsessed kid roots! (Yep, I was ‘that kid’ who loved her horsey more than anything 😉 ) Knitterly details on ravelry here.
In perfect rainy Sunday fashion I haven’t actually left the house today; I kept myself under house arrest to finally finish my textiles coursework. It’s done and it fits, (thankfully) so I’ll be sure to share on here soon. Coursework is everything at school at the minute, but I’m slowly ticking bits off the list, which is very satisfying.
Time to juggle #lbloggers chat, Dancing on Ice, and a sausage and potato salad for me :DÂ Thanks for stopping by!

27th January 2014 at 5:55 pmHow nice that your mum still knits entire cardigans for you! This one is a stunner! And excuse my ignorance, but I’m not sure what a fringe is. Are they what we call “bangs”, the shorter hair above your eyes? Or are they long layers put into the side? I like your new hair style!
lily
27th January 2014 at 9:39 pmIsn’t it just? I’m very lucky! Yes a fringe is ‘bangs’ in other words 😀
