summer | i’ll get there soon

I’ll get into the swing of this whole summer thing someday!  For god knows how long I’ve hyped up this summer in my head as the time when I’d be throwing my absolute all into this blogging/online/making things/meeting people business.  Albeit temporarily, I’d be free from education to do whatever the hell I liked, woohoo!  And have I done a lot yet?  Have I heck.  Sure, it’s only been 2 weeks, but you know me and my exaggerations!  Life gets in the way sometimes, but I’m ok with that.  Moving swiftly on, as is always best. 😀

Much as I’d like to take credit for picking this little white pretty thing (top? kaftan? dress for a really short person?), it’s actually one of my mum’s that I only unearthed last week.  A couple of years old I do believe, but I love near enough everything about it.  Necklace and shoes are pinched from my mama’s wardrobe too, so my outfit comprises of only 40% my own clothes, to be precise.  Really can’t take the maths geek out of the girl, can you?

I’ve been dying to wear these wedges with the big bright bows for ages, even if they do seem mildly more Meditteranean appropriate than British.  Naturally pairing them with hot pink hotpants screams English countryside, but I don’t think anyone pays too much attention to appropriate dressing anymore; gone completely out the window, as far as blogging is concerned at least.  I’ve never been great at it anyway, and have always been that idiot that thinks the weather is fineeee to go without a jacket when it absolutely is not.  I never learn. 🙂

£1.99 lipstick would you believe.  I haven’t tried Natural Collection before but will definitely be checking out the rest of their range now.  This one was surprisingly smooth and long lasting.
