Oh hi there photogenic fallen leaves! Â Now I could go all English Language GCSE on you and start with the blanket metaphors, but I think I’ll go for ‘a few nice leaves on the floor’. Â That’ll do. Â Autumn in a nutshell. Â As are jumper dresses and 80 denier black tights (300-denier-fleece-lined-super-cosy pairs are saved for winter). Â My dress is from Primark – bet you gasped in shock at that one – and I think the collar is cute, and it’s a nice ‘not baggy, not too clingy’ shape. Â That’s about all I have to say on that one!
You can barely see them here, but The Most Uncomfortable Flat Shoes Of All Time finally make their second bloggy appearance! They’re not actually that bad if you don’t attempt a city centre sprint wearing them, which y’know, doesn’t happen too often.  Misadventures with public transport on the other hand, happens a little too often for my liking.  I’m due to catch 4 trains again this Tuesday – let’s hope for better luck this time!
Another new addition – my current fave lipstick that I’ve worn pretty much daily since buying it last weekend. Â I still love my Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte ‘Crushed Plum’, but it’s so creamy (duh) that I usually manage to spread it across my chin, cheeks and occasionally eyebrows. Â Special occasion lipstick I reckon. Â This one though, it ain’t going anywhere!
Sorry ’bout the resting bitch face! Â This is actually my ‘trying to watch something going on but can’t see ’cause no contact lenses’ face. Â Promise. 🙂
My coat’s an old one from French Connection with fabulous sleeves. 🙂 Worn it lots already this year, because apparently I wear black and grey all the time now too, not just beige!
In typical final paragraph style, life lately!
I rewatched About Time, for the 50 millionth, ahem… time. Â It’s my no.1 favourite film for sure. Â I make everybody watch it. Â Never fails to set me off crying. Â It’s sad but happy too – all the feels, basically. Â Trust me and just go watch it!
I’ve been introduced to one of mankind’s greatest inventions, the electric blanket. Â Especially great at 1am when you’ve just blubbered into a cup of tea over aforementioned emosh film.
I seem to have forgotten how to construct actual sentences in anything but ‘blog speak’ (meaning excessive parenthesis and hyphens – case in point), I discovered upon starting my history coursework. Â It’s taking some getting used to. Â What do you mean I can’t make up words if I want? Â At least the topic’s interesting though. Â Civil Rights is a good one to get into. 🙂
I had a fab night with fab friends and decided that Friday night is the perfect girls night.
I *kinda* caught up on sleep (in bed ’til 9am on Saturday!!!) after several nights burning the candle at both ends.  8:30am is a lie-in to my body clock, but it was nice to wake up naturally and sans alarm for a change.
Obviously that’s not the entirety of my week listed, but I won’t bore you with more drivel, if I haven’t already. Â If you take one thing from this post… well, two… make it A) check out Primark’s AW range, they’re getting it oh so right atm, and B) watch About Time. Â It’s on Netflix. Â No excuses.
