Just popping in to once again profess my love for a dress. It’s pretty late and I’m probably incapable of stringing a coherent sentence together but I had to show this one off! It was a bargain vintage find and therefore automatically does well in my books. I’m really getting into this whole charity shops thing lately – trawl the rails and you can find some seriously cool pieces. I’ve no idea where this one’s originally from but I love the poofy sleeves and pleats and bow neckline and all that cute stuff. Baffles me why someone would give items like this away!
Pretty sure August is a record for how early I break out my fave winter boots. No point pretending it’s actually warm! It’d be pretty nice if England joined the rest of the world with the whole ‘seasons’ thing but it would seem we missed the memo and August is now Autumn. I packed long boots and cosy jumpers and sandals and shorts for this week, and I’ll probably use them all. I took a ‘pack ALL the things’ approach to packing haha. How did I know which shade of knee-high socks I’d want? I’m perfectly capable of travelling light if need be, but if space isn’t limited then that’s out the window!
Wander round a village in a dress, and you’ll observe the interesting phenomenon of teenage lads and their car exhaust mating calls, apparently! You have to just laugh I guess. Here in the Lake District there are never ending hoards of tourists with cameras around their necks, but I’m yet to see anyone else snapping outfit photos. Us bloggers are still a rare species. 😛
OK so I’m gonna sign off now ’cause I’m just thinking/typing utter drivel. I’ll be back with photos and accounts of our adventures shortly! Nightynight. 🙂

4th August 2015 at 2:59 pmNice looking dress and village too. I would like to wander around there too. I used to buy vintage a lot, but I don’t anymore, but I still have some of my favourite dresses. I find whenever I have to go to a wedding, I end up trying on a bunch of things in the closet and then settling on some ancient vintage purchase.

7th August 2015 at 4:21 pmThanks Max! You’d love all the little villages around here, I’m sure. Howcome you stopped buying vintage? So many thrifted dresses would be perfect for weddings – I guess people tend to give away items they’ve only worn once, and wedding guest outfits often come under that category!

4th August 2015 at 3:19 pmGreat dress! It’s amazing what people don’t want – one of my favourite skirts was 50p from a car boot sale!

7th August 2015 at 4:22 pmIt’s unfathomable to think that people have discarded dresses like this isn’t it!
