Almost eating my own words and wearing black, but not quite! I loved the shape, material and fit of this peplum top when I spotted it in the Matalan sale, and therefore needed it in my wardrobe, ofc. Dressy(ish) cuts in simple colours are good for looking ‘nice’, but not OTT I think. Balance and that. :) Off the shoulder styles are my faveee too, so I’m hoping to get plenty wear out of this one over the next few weeks.

I used to really like wearing these jeans but quite frankly they do my head in now! After several washes they’ve shrunk considerably in length, meaning that what was just about a high waist on me, is no longer anywhere near a high waist. Therefore I spend 90% of my time hoiking them up in a very unladylike manner. Is there an easy way to put skinny jeans on/pull them up? I always end up doing some weird dance/wiggle, but then again, I am me. It’s the kind of bizarre thing I do; often I seem unable to perform simple acts like dressing myself in ways like any other human being might. Weird gal. Not too sure about the new ankle crop either, but other jeans I have from Primark fit incredibly well! Primark have really upped their game over the last couple of years, but I think the catch is how hit and miss the fit can be.
Just a few quick snaps after work on Saturday; the buildings around there can make pretty nice backgrounds! Making the most of every opportunity haha, gotta be done. 😀
Last night my friends from high school and I had a little early Christmas dinner party, and it was one of the cutest nights I’ve ever had! Totally felt like we were in the Friends apartment. Christmas crackers and a mini (chocolate filled) stockings at each place and everything – we are a cute bunch! We all brought contributions to the table and ended up with enough to feed the 5000. Friends and food, best way to spend a Monday night.
Are your Christmassy get-togethers in full swing yet?

10th December 2014 at 2:35 pmIt sounds like a perfect party to get in gear for Christmas! It is nice you really are friends!! I can think og no better evening. I should get out some decorations here!
Here it is Nutcracker season! Iris my 8 yr old is in two dances and the lead soldier. She is also on the cover of the program!! My younger Stella is a mouse. So it has been all photo calls and rehearsals here. I am proud and happy, but a little worried about us all getting sick. I feel some sniffles coming on.

14th December 2014 at 9:19 pmIt really was the best way to get the Christmas mood going! My friends are so lovely. Teenagers having a sit down dinner party and playing charades; we’re great. 😀
I love hearing about your daughters and their dancing! I bet they’re adorable in their costumes.
It’s all sicky everywhere! We’ve had a cough going round that so far I’ve managed to avoid, but don’t know how much longer that’ll last. Will be right over Christmas knowing my luck.
